The way your mum smooths your sleeve. The hug your best friend lingers in. The glance you share with each other when no one else is watching. With a documentary approach, I focus on these kinds of moments. The quiet, the loud, the tender, the electric. What you get is a gallery that feels authentic and unmistakably you. Something to return to, again and again.

I am Gina Fernandes

DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER FOR COUPLES WHO FEEL DEEPLY, LAUGH LOUDLY, AND VALUE WHAT LASTS. I AM BASED IN RUTLAND WORKING ACROSS LEICESTERSHIRE, THE EAST MIDLANDS AND BEYOND.‍ ‍

I grew up on Kiss FM, Pretty Woman, Clueless and crying at films nobody else takes seriously. I have always been someone who feels things loudly and notices things quietly. That combination is, it turns out, exactly what documentary wedding photography needs.

I wasn't watching music videos. I was listening, really listening, to how emotion moves. To the track that hits you somewhere you can't quite name. To the moment in a film that gets you every time, not the obvious one, the other one.

That's still how I work.

I am drawn to the moment before the moment. The atmosphere in a room before it shifts. The way joy doesn't announce itself, it just arrives. I am not photographing for Instagram. I am not building my portfolio on your wedding day. I am there for you, fully, and that means when something brilliant happens, and it always does, I am already watching.

I am not there to be noticed. I am there to notice.
